The deal,
in plain English.

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• The Service is not directed to children, and no one under 13 may use it. You may not upload footage containing a child under 13 unless you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or you have the verifiable consent of one.
• You give us a real email address.
• You're responsible for activity under your account. Keep your credentials safe.
• One account per person, no account-sharing.

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal content.
• Upload content you do not have the rights to use.
• Use the Service to spam, harass, defame, or defraud.
• Put hateful, sexually-explicit, or violent content in titles, descriptions, or captions.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the AI pipeline, scrape our API outside published quotas, or evade rate limits.
• Use outputs to mislead viewers about the source or veracity of footage (deep-fake personation).

By signing in you agree that your sessions on EditorOP are recorded (a replay of how you use the site and editor) so we can find and fix what breaks. Recordings are handled as our Privacy Policy describes and are never sold or used for advertising.

You retain ownership of clips you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and display them solely to operate and provide the Service, including via the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy. The license ends when you delete the content or your account (backup copies are purged on our normal rotation schedule). We do not use your content to train AI models.

Your uploads are your responsibility. You confirm that you own (or have all rights, licenses, and permissions for) every clip, image, audio track, and other file you upload, including the right to feature anyone who appears in them. You are solely responsible for the final video you publish.

Reference reels. You may add a reference reel only if you have the right to use it this way, and by adding one you confirm that you do. We use it to measure an editing style, never to reproduce its content: we read its style, keep labels and numbers that describe it, and delete the file. We also keep a few still frames from it for about a day while we read it, and small stills of graphics we couldn't match, to improve our template library (deleted 30 days after we review them). Your reel is made from your own footage, and it gets music from our library, never the reference's song.

Stock assets we provide. Any stock footage, images, music, or graphics EditorOP supplies (for example via stock libraries or our built-in libraries) are royalty-free or free to use under their providers' licenses, and are offered "as is" for use within the Service. We make a good-faith effort to source only freely-licensed assets, but you remain responsible for confirming an asset's license terms are met for your specific published use, especially for paid ads, sensitive contexts, or anything featuring identifiable people, logos, or trademarks. Stock clips and photos come from Pexels under the Pexels License; the credit shows in the editor, never on your video. If you swap in your own stock, the "your uploads are your responsibility" rule above applies to it.

AI output. Edits are produced by automated AI and can contain mistakes: wrong cuts, mis-timed captions, or unsuitable b-roll. Review every export before you publish it. AI output is provided without warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose, and you are responsible for the content you choose to share. You own the final video you create, subject to the rights in the assets it contains — and to the extent EditorOP holds any right in an exported video, we assign it to you on export.

You own the videos you make with EditorOP and can use them for any purpose, including commercial use. Stock clips and music we add come with their own licences; check them before using a video in paid ads.

• Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. They handle global VAT/GST/sales tax. Your invoice and card statement list Dodo as the seller.
• First month and refunds. Your first month is half price. After that, your plan renews at the full monthly price until you cancel. If you made 1 reel or fewer in the 7 days after your first payment, contact us and we refund that payment in full. Other payments are not refunded. You can cancel anytime and keep your plan until the end of the month you paid for. If an edit or export fails, its credits come back to you on their own. One discounted first month per person.
• Plans are monthly and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime from Credits & plan; you keep your plan until the end of the month you paid for. Prices are shown before you pay. Dodo Payments is the merchant of record and handles tax.
• EU / UK customers additionally keep their statutory 14-day right of withdrawal; our refund rule is in addition to it, never instead of it.

We make our best effort to keep the Service running. Paid plans do not currently carry a contractual SLA, but we monitor uptime publicly and will credit prolonged outages on request. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@editorop.com from your account email; we do it within 30 days. This removes your clips, exports, and library, subject to legally-required billing-record retention. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the Acceptable Use policy. If we terminate or discontinue the Service without cause, we'll give you a refund of unused paid reels. If we terminate for cause, we may withhold refunds only to the extent the law allows in cases of fraud or abuse — otherwise unused paid reels are refunded.

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, EditorOP and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of footage, revenue, or business) even if we've been advised of the possibility. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater. Keep local backups of any footage you can't afford to lose.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose consumer-protection law applies regardless of contract, that law applies in addition.

We'll notify users by email for material changes, with at least 30 days notice before they take effect. If you don't accept a material change, you can ask us to delete your account before the effective date and we'll give you a refund of unused paid reels. Continued use of the Service after that date is acceptance. We never change what your data may be used for retroactively — any new use (for example, AI training, which we don't do) would apply only to content uploaded after you opt in.
