Free Online Teleprompter
This teleprompter scrolls your script at a steady speed while you read to camera. Paste the script, set the speed and text size, and press start. It runs full screen, can mirror the text for a beam-splitter rig, and answers to the space bar and arrow keys, so most presentation remotes work too. Nothing is uploaded.
Hey, quick one today. I used to film every video five times, because I kept forgetting what came next. So here is what changed. I write the whole thing first, out loud, the way I would say it to a friend. Short sentences. One idea per line. Then I read it off a prompter like this one, sitting right under my camera, so my eyes stay close to the lens. The trick is the speed. Start slower than feels natural. If the words run away from you, tap the down arrow. If you are waiting on them, tap up. And if you stumble, keep rolling. Take a breath and say the line again. You can cut the mistake later. That's it. Try it on your next video.

FAQ
Questions
How do I use a teleprompter on my laptop?
Put the window at the top of the screen, close to your webcam, and keep the line width narrow so your eyes move less. Start slow and raise the speed until the text stays just ahead of you.
Can I control it with a remote?
Yes. Space starts and pauses, the up and down arrows change the speed, Page Up and Page Down or the left and right arrows jump most of a screen, and R goes back to the top. Most presentation remotes send those keys, so their buttons page through the script.
Why would I mirror the text?
A beam-splitter teleprompter shows the screen in angled glass, which flips the text. Mirroring flips it back so it reads normally on the glass.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The tool runs in your browser, so your script or file never leaves your device.
