Script Timer
A script timer estimates how long each part of a script takes to say. Paste your script with a blank line between paragraphs, pick a pace and a target length, and the timer shows when each paragraph starts, whether you are over or under, and the words that fit in your first three seconds.

FAQ
Questions
How do I time a script for a video?
Count the words and divide by your speaking pace. At 150 words a minute, a 75-word script runs about 30 seconds. This timer does that for each paragraph and adds the pauses between them.
Why does the timer show a hook?
Viewers decide quickly whether to keep watching a short video. The hook line shows the words you get through in the first three seconds at your pace, so you can check they carry your main point.
How accurate is the estimate?
It depends on the pace you set. Pauses, emphasis and retakes change your real time, so read the script aloud once and adjust the pace until the timer matches you.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The tool runs in your browser, so your script or file never leaves your device.
